Let Justice

Let justice transpire,

and never my ire,

whenever I’m caught in between.

Oh heart, don’t decry

but only rely

on the Judge who has already seen.

Let no smear be thrown,

no weapon or stone

for only myopia screams.

Oh lips, don’t unpurse,

e’en chaffed by the curse

of the knowledge things aren’t as they seem.

Let Truth be my friend

my hope ‘till the end

while weaknesses own I must face.

Oh, build no high tower,

await but the hour

when justice and peace will embrace.
